Companhia Olga Roriz will present the Contemporary Dance show «PETS» at Teatro das Figuras, on Saturday, at 21 pm.
Created and directed by the choreographer that gives the company its name, Olga Roriz, the show features dancers Catarina Câmara, Maria Cerveira, Marta Lobato Faria, Bruno Alexandre and Pedro Santiago Cal.
This is, according to the Portuguese choreographer, «a show where we propose to observe the unattainable», from «seduction and desire», to «false privacy, deceit and chance». And it should not be taken as a reflection "on us, affectionate beings, easily tamed, affectionate, docile and savage, dangerous and cruel."
The musical selection is also by Olga Roriz, together with João Raposo and includes songs from Arvo Part, Bebe, Bonobo, Carlos Gardel, Caverna, Eleni Karaindrou, Gotan Project, Joan Jeanrenaud, Jonny Greenwood, Pink Martini, The Chemical Brothers and Wax Poetic.
The ticket for "PETS" costs 10 euros for over 30s, with 25 percent discounts for over 65s. Anyone under 30 pays 5 euros.
