On February 1, Loulé celebrates the 24th anniversary of its status as a city. To mark this date, the city will carry out a program of initiatives, with special emphasis on the inauguration of the remodeling works of the Parque Municipal de Loulé.
So, at 10:30 am, this opening ceremony of the “green lung” of the city, as well as the new cultural space created in the former Casa do Pombal, the CECAL – Center for Experimentation and Artistic Creation of Loulé, a transdisciplinary structure that will serve as support for high-level plastic artists, photographers, musicians and multimedia professionals national and international, from the perspective of research, experimentation and artistic production.
In the afternoon, at 17 pm, in the Loulé Municipal Assembly Room, the Charme Loulé Project will be evaluated and projected, which was born with the objective of reintegrating the Medieval Historical Center in the center of Loulé, through various initiatives aimed at transforming it into economic, social and urban rehabilitation terms.
In addition to the Loulé City Council, entities such as Loulé Global Council – Municipal Equipment and Events, Loulé Center – Association for the Development and Innovation of Commerce of Loulé, University of Algarve, Santa Casa da Misericórdia and INUAF – Institute are involved in this project Superior D. Afonso III.
At the end of this commemorative day, at 21 pm, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, singer Nuno Guerreiro, a “son of the land”, will give a concert to present his latest album “Gangster Mascarado”.
It's about a disc live which includes several original themes and some re-recorded previous records (such as “Tento Saber”).
The themes are intimate and revealing the artist's sensibility, as well as his superior vocal qualities; it is not by chance that he is considered by critics as one of the most powerful and fabulous voices (countertenor) in Portugal.
