Hungarian-Dutch musician Gyula Szilágyi brought the Faro a program, with the special curiosity of the “Nightingale” from the Órgão da Sé.

This was followed by João Santos, who treated the audience with the contrast of sonatas, pasacalles, costumes, fugues, toccatas and battles at the Órgão do Carmo.

Chamber music also had its space at Carmo, with Carina Lash on organ and Pedro Santos on recorder, who greatly excited the audience with their duets.

Closing the poster, the prestigious José L. González Uriol, who presented a brilliant program that covered the biography of the Sé organ.

The donations for the concerts at the Igreja da Sé reverted in full to support the Portuguese Cerebral Palsy Association of Faro and the Algarve Association of Parents and Friends of Mentally Diminished Children.

The V Organ Festival – Faro 2011 was organized by Associação Cultural Música XXI, in partnership with the Municipality of Faro and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.
