The tradition is fulfilled again in the municipality of Tavira with the holding of charolas meetings in the parishes of Conceição de Tavira, Luz de Tavira, Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo, Santa Luzia, Santo Estêvão and in the city.
The meetings are scheduled for tomorrow, January 1st, and for the 6th.
The schedule ends with another edition of XXVII Charolas Festival “City of Tavira”, on January 8, at 15 pm, at the Cine-Teatro António Pinheiro.

Charolas are an ancient way of celebrating New Year and Epiphany, singing traditional songs alluding to the time that evoke verses in praise of the God Child, translated into feelings of peace and brotherhood.
