The Fado Group “Ecos de Coimbra” and the Group “Entretenga” from Albufeira are the special guests of the 26th anniversary party of the Grupo Coral de Portimão which will take place in the Auditorium of the Museum of Portimão on Saturday, November 12th, between 15:00 pm and 17:00 pm.

Founded on November 14, 1995, the Grupo Coral de Portimão is currently composed of about 30 members of both sexes, between 40 and 80 years old, six of which are instrumentalists (accordion, guitar, mandolin, ironwork, snare drum and bass drum).

In addition to Portuguese popular music, the Grupo Coral de Portimão's repertoire includes music with an Algarve theme, with lyrics collected from books by Algarve poets, which has contributed to the dissemination of these poets and the culture of the region.

Its conductor is former journalist António Vinagre.
