The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve hosts, this weekend from 20 to 23 October, for the third consecutive year, the biggest and best classics event in the Iberian Peninsula: the Algarve Historic Festival.

Since yesterday, cars have been in action that made the history of world motorsport and that continue to excite all motorsport enthusiasts.

Highlight for the Historic F1 World Championship, which puts on track single-seaters built between 1966 and 1985, such as the Williams FW08 or the McLaren MP4/1B.

Equally important is the F2, F3 and Single Seaters category, which bring to the track the cars that served as the F1 antechamber in the 70s/80s.

Also very attractive are the 'bolides' of the 1000km Pre-72 Prototypes category, cars that made history in endurance races, such as the 24h of Le Mans.

But from many more categories the Algave Historic Festival is made, which has 12 categories in a total of 18 races. A weekend full of history that no one should miss.

In addition to cars, the Algarve Historic Festival brings to the Portimão Circuit some of the living stars of that time, namely Maria Teresa de Filippis, Richard Attood, Tony Brooks, Nanni Galli, Tim Parnel, David Piper and even the Portuguese, Nicha Cabral and Pedro Lamy, who will be joining for the annual meeting of the International F1 Drivers Club scheduled for this Saturday, October 22, at 10:00 am.

Tickets for the event are for sale on the website and in the AIA store.
