The 1st International Conference “Tourism & Management Studies – Algarve 2011” will take place between October 26th and 29th, at the Real Marina Hotel & Spa, in Olhão.
This conference, promoted by the School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism of the University of Algarve and the magazine “Scientific Encounters – Tourism & Management Studies”, has as guest lecturers Professors Abraham Pizam, Dimitrios Buhalis, Jafar Jafari, Jonathan Edwards and Richard Butler .
The conference will cover a wide variety of topics related to tourism studies and tourism and hotel management.
This event aims to stimulate research and the dissemination of scientific knowledge in the areas of Tourism, Leisure and Tourism Management, encouraging interdisciplinary and comparative approaches.
It is also intended to provide a platform to stimulate interdisciplinary discussions in the aforementioned areas, providing knowledge and experience and promoting academic cooperation and networking among researchers from all over the world.
The conference has as parchers to FCT (Foundation for Science and Technology) and CITEL (Research Center for Tourism and Leisure of the University of Algarve).
