The third application period in 2011 for the Porta 65 Jovem program, a financial support system for leasing by young people, ends on October 17th.

Porta 65 Jovem aims to regulate incentives for young tenants, in support of the rental of permanent residences.

With a view to facilitating all application procedures, and considering the importance of this initiative and its dynamization for young residents, the Municipality of Silves established a partnership with the Housing and Urban Rehabilitation Institute (IHRU) and provides support to those who want to submit the application for this program.

For more detailed information on the benefits and on the submission of applications for the “Porta 65 Jovem”, interested parties may contact the CMS Youth Sector, which operates in the Municipal Swimming Pool complex in Silves, from Monday to Friday, between 09:00 am and 17:00 pm, or use the telephone 282 440 270 (ext: 450), or email [email protected].

To benefit from this support in the payment of monthly rents for their homes, young people aged 18 or over and under 30 can apply. In the case of couples of young people, one of the elements can be up to 32 years old.

The presentation of the ownership of the lease, permanent residence in the dwelling (which must correspond to your tax address), submitting the income tax return (IRS) to finance and not being owners or tenants for housing purposes of another building, are some requirements that candidates for this program must meet.

More specifically, young people must have the following data to apply:

ID or Citizen Card; Tax Identification No.; Social Security Identification number; marital status; profession; article and fraction of the leased housing matrix; contract signing date; monthly income amount; typology of rented housing; Bank account NIB, e-mail account.

The Documentation required is indicated:

• Lease Agreement or Promise Agreement;

• Last income receipt or other proof of your payment, from the month prior to the application;

• Income statement submitted in the previous year (IRS);

• Identification documents of all candidates or young households (BI or Citizen's Card, Birth Certificate, Tax Identification Number, Social Security Number);

• Access password that will be obtained through the DGCI Electronic Declarations Website at www.e-financas.pt

• Bank account NIB.

It's very important:

• Request the password in advance on the DGCI Electronic Declarations Website at www.e-financas.pt, using the function – request password (in the case of young couples and young people in cohabitation, each must have a password) ;

• The residence address registered in the finances must be the same as that of the rented dwelling, if this situation does not occur, it is necessary to change it in the finances (in time);

• Have the income statement for the previous year submitted to the finances (IRS), or the last 6 months of salary evidenced through salary receipts (indispensable);

• Check if the rented house corresponds to an autonomous fraction (building in total ownership, with parts susceptible to independent use, or in horizontal property) – consult your landlord;

• The typology of rented housing – number of bedrooms (for example, 2 bedrooms corresponds to one T2), which must be appropriate to the composition of the household.
