The III Algarve Historic Festival (AHF), one of the four largest in continental Europe, takes place from October 20th to 23rd at the AIA – Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

There are 320 cars in 21 races, highlighting the Group C cars from the 80s, which competed in Le Mans, and the classic Formulas 2 and 3, which last raced over 30 years ago, in addition to the Historic Formula 1 World Championship .

Another major attraction will be the annual meeting of the Formula 1 Former Drivers' Club, which will allow the public and other drivers to interact with great stars of world motorsport, such as Italian Maria Teresa de Filippis, first woman in Formula 1, and Mário de Araújo (Nicha) Cabral, who is going to rediscover the car he raced in Monza, in 1964, an ATS with a great history for motorsport.

These are some of the biggest points of interest of this mega-event that will feature cars from the 1920s to the 1990s, on 13 starting grids for 21 races. It will be a living and dynamic museum of 20 categories of automobiles.

The AHF showcases the history of the automobile with the beauty of the great machines of the distant or near past, from a 3 Bentley 1923 liter Blower or a 1929 JAP Morgan three-wheel, powered by a 1950s circular, Jaguar or Aston Martin engine. , to cars from the 24 Hours of Le Mans, such as the unbeatable Mercedes C11, Jaguar XJR11, Lancia LC2 or Porsche.
