After the summer break, on September 18, at 18:30 pm, at the Igreja do Colégio, the Cycle of Sounds of Portimão presents the Concentus Duo, interpreting works by composers such as Debussy, Albérniz, Granados, Falla and Carlos Paredes.

The group is formed by Paula Sobral and Manuel Tavares and had its origins in 2000, moving essentially in classical music, through a repertoire that covers the most varied eras, with an emphasis on national production.

The duo has performed in several cities across the country, in conservatories and music academies, auditoriums, theaters and in the most prestigious guitar festivals nationwide, as well as in some similar events abroad.

Manuel Tavares started, in 1996, the Licentiate Degree in Music Teaching at the University of Aveiro, in the area of ​​guitar, having completed, in 2009, a master's degree in performance (chamber music) at the University of Aveiro.

Paula Sobral, in 1994, started her degree in Music Teaching at the University of Aveiro, in the area of ​​classical guitar, completing, in 2007, a master's degree in chamber music.

This concert, with free entry, is an initiative of the Municipality of Portimão, continuing on the 1st of October the Cycle of Sounds, with the concert by Classical Duo, composed by Andrés Villani (transversal flute) and Bruna Melia (cello) which will take place at the Church of Alvor, from 16 pm.
