Between September 15th and October 15th, Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes promotes “Lusofonia”, in a Cycle that aims to promote a journey through Angola's music and dance, through the dances of Cape Verde, through the music and painting of São Tomé and Príncipe and by the traditional sounds of Mozambique.

Always with Portuguese-speaking references as a source of inspiration, the initiative starts on September 15, at 21 pm, with music and poetry by Afonso Dias, who will evoke Portuguese-speaking poets in another edition of Quintas Culturais at Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes .

On the 17th, at 21 pm, the Lusophone moments will belong to Funaná, a traditional Cape Verdean dance, which will be presented by the Penatchon dance group, of the Cape Verdean Association of Algarve, which will return to work on October 00th, at the same time.

On September 20 and 21, starting at 21:30 pm, it will be the turn of a workshop directed by Xico Barata on Kizomba-Semba, Angolan traditional dance.

Interested parties must make their registration in advance, which is free, by calling 282 458 061 or email [email protected]

As for the next Cultural Quintas, on September 22, at 21 pm, Xico Barata will interpret Angolan songs, and on September 30, at the same time, musician Tonecas will take the sounds of São Tomé and Príncipe to Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes.

For October 6, a Fado Night was scheduled, with Hélder Coelho (fadista), Vítor do Carmo (Portuguese guitar) and José Santana (viola), who will perform from 21 pm, the same time as on October 30th. Mozambican Julinho will participate in these Cultural Quintas made of Portuguese-speaking moments.
