The delivery of certificates of attendance in the training actions “Follow-up and Support for Students with Special Educational Needs” and “Pedagogical Games and Group Animation”, recently promoted by the City Council of Portimão and aimed at operational assistants and technical assistants, took place this Thursday -fair.
The ceremony took place in the main hall of Paços do Concelho and brought together a total of 45 trainees who work as educational assistants, placed in teaching establishments in the municipality.
At the session, the councilor responsible for Education at the Portimão Council, Isabel Guerreiro, underlined the importance of the initiative, which “allows the increase of the personal and professional skills of the employees, for a higher quality performance of functions, serving the needs of the local community”.
According to Isabel Guerreiro, “the participants in these trainings have a complementary and fundamental role in the educational process, as they spend a lot of time with the children and are also interlocutors in the transmission of values and references, giving their best”.
He also guaranteed that, "even with the great financial difficulties we are facing, the Portimão Council will continue to invest in this type of training, as these reinforce the spirit of cohesion and group, so important in the current scenario."
