Bernardette Romeira School helped two institutions in the Christmas campaign

These campaigns "exceeded expectations"

From the 14th to the 18th of December, Colégio Bernardette Romeira, in Olhão, organized two campaigns to raise goods and funds for the Casa do Povo of Moncarapacho and for ACASO (Association of Cultural and Social Support of Olhão).

These campaigns "exceeded expectations".

For the Casa do Povo in Moncarapacho, the College organized a collection of food and hygiene items that the guardians, students and the rest of the educational community brought during the week.

For ACASO, Colégio Bernardette Romeira dressed up in Christmas costumes to help the USO – Socio-Occupational Unit project. Students were challenged to exchange their uniform for Christmas clothes in exchange for a donation, in order to acquire an electric oven to be used in Occupational Therapy for Mental Health of users of ACASO in Olhão.

A guardian provided the necessary amount for the purchase of the electric oven, and a second oven was also donated by another guardian.

At the end of the day, the amount of the remaining donations totaled 450 euros, an amount that will be used by ACASO in the USO project.
