Grouping of Pinheiro e Rosa Schools organizes conference

This conference is one of the activities of the project “Explore+ Creative Explorations of Curiosity for Innovative Transdisciplinarity, STEAM and Social Learning”

The Pinheiro and Rosa School Grouping, from Faro, organizes, on the 28th of April, starting at 9 am, the conference “Application of the CTEAM methodology in the development of Essential Learning and Student Profile on Leaving Compulsory Schooling”, in the auditorium of the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth, in Faro.

This conference is one of the activities of the project “Explore+ Creative explorations of curiosity for innovative transdisciplinarity, STEAM and social learning” funded by the Erasmus+ program – Partnerships for Creativity (KA227).

The initiative includes the presentation of the CTEAM Activities Manual (an integrated and project-based methodology, which through science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, aims to train students with diverse knowledge, develop values ​​together with the contents addressed and prepare students and citizens for the challenges of the future) and an open online course (MOOC) to present CTEAM activities.

From the curriculum of the different disciplines of the Scientific-Humanistic Courses, over two academic years, activities were developed, tested and systematized in the Secondary School classes of AE Pinheiro e Rosa, using the CTEAM methodology, with the support of the Zer0 Museum within the scope of its cultural mediation work for Digital Art.

The conference is aimed at current and future teachers, educators, other education technicians, students (9th grade and secondary education) and artists and scientists interested in working with schools.

Em Faro, the partnership for this project includes ES Pinheiro e Rosa and the Zer0 Museum, at the invitation of the structure dedicated to preparing the proposal for Faro the European Capital of Culture 2027 who join the international consortium that includes partners from Chemnitz (Germany), European Capital of Culture 2025 (coordination), Timisoara (Romania), European Capital of Culture 2023 and Cesis (Latvia), former candidate for European Capital of Culture 2027.

9:30 am – Opening and welcome Director of AEPROSA Francisco Soares and Regional Director of the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth Custódio Moreno.

9:45 am – Panel I – The Contribution of the National Plan for the Arts and the Live Science Clubs in the development of Essential Learning, from a transdisciplinary perspective and the connection between Science and Art through the use of CTEAM methodologies (Science, Technology, Engineering , Arts and Mathematics)
