A 19-year-old girl was stabbed this Sunday morning on Avenida Sá Carneiro, in Albufeira, and ended up dying on the spot.
Correio da Manhã reports that the victim was hit in the chest and neck and went into cardiac arrest. Death was eventually declared on the spot.
The young woman was also rescued by a team of firefighters from the reservoir and INEM, who carried out resuscitation maneuvers, but she could not resist the injuries and ended up dying. The alert was given at 6:00 am.
According to the CM, the authorities have already detained a man and a woman, who are suspected of the aggression.
They will have fled after having assaulted the young woman in a bar and thrown the knife onto the roof of that establishment. The weapon will have already been recovered by the GNR.
A police source told Agência Lusa that there are suspicions that it was a “dispute between kids” at the end of the “night”.
According to the information that the authorities have, the victim and the suspects are all of Portuguese nationality.
The GNR mobilized three vehicles and 12 operators. The Judiciary Police is investigating.
