Diogo Barbosa, son of Cândido Barbosa, leaves the North American team Hagens Berman/Axeon and returns to Portugal to join the Clube de Cyclismo de Tavira team (AP Hotels and Resorts/Tavira) for the 2023 season.
The 22-year-old, who makes his debut in the Elite category, returns to Portugal after two seasons in the American team led by Axel Merckx, son of the legendary Edyy Merckx, joining the Tavira team where his father ended his professional career, in 2010.
