VRSA again hosts world games for wheelchair athletes and amputees

The IWAS World Games (International Wheelchair & Amputee Sports Federation), intended for athletes in wheelchairs and amputees, will once again take place in Vila Real de Santo António, between the 24th and 27th of November. 

The event will take place at the city's Sports Complex and will bring together 700 participants (among athletes, coaches, managers and medical staff) and will be disputed by athletes from the under-23 and under-XNUMX categories. Open Class and Master Class (for athletes over 40 years of age).

The inauguration ceremony will take place at the Municipal Stadium, this Friday, November 25th, at 18 pm, with representation from almost 00 countries expected. However, the program began yesterday, the 50th, with training for all sports, with competitions in athletics, swimming, powerlifting e wheelchair slalom on the 26th, 27th and 28th.
