Água Monchique delivers ambulance to Volunteer Firefighters

"It is an essential contribution so that we can transport patients in better conditions and provide an essential service to the community", says Fire Chief

The Monchique Water Society offered a new ambulance for the transport of non-emergent patients to the Volunteer Firefighters of Monchique.

The new vehicle, with the capacity to transport seven patients, replaced another ambulance that was “completely obsolete and outdated”, says the commander of the Monchique Volunteer Fire Department.

«It is an essential contribution so that we can transport patients in better conditions and provide an essential service to the community» says Rui Lopes, also thanking Água Monchique for the availability «which promptly responded to our request and immediately made itself available to support and help us”.

At the time of delivery, Vítor Hugo Gonçalves, CEO of Sociedade da Água de Monchique, also highlighted the feeling of accomplishment that inspires all the company's employees and consumers.

«We feel happy and fulfilled to be able to give back to society the trust it places in us! This ambulance is an offer from the team of employees at Água Monchique and from all Monchique Lovers, who believe in our product daily and share our way of being and the values we advocate as a company", he said.

The responsible for Água Monchique also left a special thanks to all the Firefighters for the spirit of mission and for the courage with which they carry out their duties, in defense of the health and well-being of the populations.

The delivery of the new ambulance took place at the ceremony to commemorate the 89th anniversary of the Volunteer Firefighters of Monchique, where 21 new personnel were sworn in, bringing the corporation to have 79 operational personnel.
