The Lagoa Wine Show is back on the city streets with lots of wine, music and gastronomy, between the 9th and 12th of June.
After a two-year break due to Covid-19, this year the Lagoa Wine Show will feature performances by Fado singers Ana Moura and Sara Correia, including the flamenco culture of the Sangre Ibérico, the voice of Luís Trigacheiro, Fado à Janela and also works by local artists.
The event, which is already one of the most emblematic wine shows in the south of the country, highlights the fact that the Algarve region is in a phase of growing notoriety in the wine world, arousing the interest of national and international critics and experts, who have deserved recognition through the various distinctions obtained in national and international competitions.
«This strategic and emerging asset for the region brought together the municipalities of Lagoa, Albufeira, Lagos and Silves, which submitted an application, European City of Wine 2023, with an enormous evident potential to take root in the future of structuring and enhancing the vineyard and do Algarve, under the name “Algarve Golden Terroir”, and which will also be represented at the Lagoa Wine Show 2022», emphasizes the Lagoa City Council.
This will be a free entry event, which will take place from the 9th to the 12th of June, between 19:00 and 00:00.
In addition to the musical programme, the Lagoa Wine Show features wine tastings, gastronomic exhibitions and show cooking based on regional products with a prominent chef per day.

In this way, I invite everyone to visit this great showcase of the best wines in the region», says Luís Encarnação, Mayor of Lagoa.
