The 1st Diabetes Race, promoted by the Portuguese Society of Diabetology and Abbott, in partnership with the Diabetes Team Portugal, will take place next Saturday, March 12, at 08:30 am, departing from the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Hotel Congress Center .
To face the dramatic moment experienced by the Ukrainian people, the 1st Diabetes Race joined the Casa da Ukraine – Cultural and Social Solidarity Association for the donation of goods.
The essential items in short supply are compresses, alcohol, saline solution, Betadine, elastic bandages, gloves, surface disinfectants, footwear, wipes, diapers and toys for children.
Race participants and the general population who want to join will be able to donate goods on March 12, between 08 am and 11 am in front of the Tivoli Marina Hotel's Congress Center.
The departure is given at the Congress Center of the Hotel Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, at 08:30, and follows the pedestrian area of Marina de Vilamoura, cross the first bridge towards Rocha Baixinha Nascente beach, continue a few meters and cross the second pedestrian bridge in towards Avenida Cerca da Vila, follow Av. Tivoli towards the Hotel Tivoli Marina Vilamoura. You can see the full race circuit here.
Registration is free and can be done here until the 10th of March. All participants will be given the participant kit that includes a t-shirt, the number plate and the time control chip that will be delivered to the stand of the 1st Race for Diabetes located at the entrance of the Algarve Congress Center, during the 11th March until 19 pm.
