The Iberian Cultural and Creative Industries Cooperation Days, which take place within the scope of the IBERICC Global Project, will take place on the 21st and 22nd of February, at the Hotel AP EVA Senses Faro, organized by the Municipality of Faro.
According to the municipality of the Algarve capital, «these will be the second Days promoted by this Project and the first in a face-to-face format, being an opportunity for the various companies from Portugal and Spain, which have been getting to know each other and cooperating since 2019, to be able to this time to negotiate face-to-face and exchange experiences by word of mouth».
IBERICC Global aims to «promote the internationalization of Cultural and Creative Industries in cross-border territories of Spain and Portugal through commercial cooperation and the implementation of new collaboration models, digital tools and strategies for the sector».
The Project also aims to «encourage the establishment of collaboration agreements and co-production and/or joint distribution projects between companies in Portugal and Spain».
Within the scope of this type of cross-border co-production and collaboration projects, some results have already been achieved and will be presented in these Conferences. The Chamber emphasizes that «at least one Portuguese and one Spanish company presented projects with sufficient maturity to be marketed in both countries, replicated or expanded to other regions, namely creative and original projects in subsectors such as fashion, crafts or production. and cultural tourism».
O IBERICC Global Project it is 75% co-financed by the Interreg POCTEP Program and is promoted in partnership by eight public and private entities from the cross-border territories of Spain and Portugal: Municipality of A Coruña (Galicia); Andalucía Emprende and Chamber of Commerce of Seville (Andalusia); Chamber of Commerce of Badajoz (Extremadura) and Santa María la Real Foundation (Castile and Leon); municipality of Faro (Algarve); CIEBI Business Innovation Center and NERPOR Business Association (Alentejo).
