The PSD of Portimão has opened the doors of its new headquarters, located on Rua Direita (lot 5, on the 1st floor), in the center of the city. The new facilities have already hosted the meeting to close the lists that will run for the next Municipal Elections, also serving as the headquarters for the campaign of the candidacy led by Rui André.
Without having a physical space for some years, the PSD's Municipal Political Commission has now ensured a space that “it will be up to the Portimonenses militants to decide, in
plenary for this purpose, if we will continue here beyond December” next.
However, points out Carlos Gouveia Martins, “it is a clear objective of this political commission that this happens, because the PSD has once again been able to offer its own space to its militants and to the autonomous local structures of the party, as well as to our mayors of the assemblies of parish, municipal assembly and municipal executive”.
For the president of the PSD of Portimão, “surely all the people from Portimão who sympathize with the PSD are happy to have property in our land, but I want to dedicate this moment to the leaders, mayors and workers of many decades for the effort and work of having had and maintained the Headquarters at Rua Machado dos Santos (1976-2015), the Headquarters at Rua Infante D. Henrique (2015 -2017), without forgetting the current political commission and the previous one, elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2020″.
“I will be grateful, because I know and have lived how we paid off debts of many years and, with the political structure in place, we have now reopened the space in the city center where we want to celebrate local victories, in September, just as we want to bring together the PSD's militant base here. to celebrate future victories of the PSD's future political program at the national level”, says Carlos Gouveia Martins.
Finally, the president of the PSD underlines that this work "began in 2018, tidying up the house at the level of internal and external communication, proximity to the militants, managing to unite the bases and bringing dozens of new members, having "right accounts". It is because, he guarantees, "PSD Portimão has €0 of debts to date".
