The concerts of Jimmy P, on September 20th, and Bárbara Bandeira, on the following day, are highlights of the Youth Week of Tavira.
The initiative runs from the 16th to the 22nd of this month, with both concerts taking place at 22 pm, at Praça da República.
In addition to these highlights, the Youth Week includes a diversified program: awareness-raising actions, workshops, training, demonstrations of basic life support, rescue and extrication techniques, fire control in the kitchen, open classes. hip hop, zumba, yoga, gaming project, youtubers, local bands, DJs and sports activities.
In addition to this, there is the usual Youth, Qualification and Inclusion Fair that will take place between 20 and 22, at Jardins do Coreto and Palmeiras, Praça da República, Rua José Pires Padinha, Mercado da Ribeira and in the former Docapesca area.
This initiative is «an exhibition of projects developed by various entities working in the youth, training/qualification, social inclusion and intergenerational areas. Includes children's animation with an inflatable, climbing wall, air bungie, and various activities aimed at children and young people», says the Câmara de Tavira.
The official opening of the event takes place, on the 20th, at 18:00.
The Mercado da Ribeira receives an area dedicated to the Gaming and to technologies with the project game day, an exhibition of artistic projects from various IPSS's, within the scope of the National Meeting Include through Art, promoted by the Irene Rolo Foundation, and also the exhibition “Chover Inclusion”.
In the same place, on the 20th, at 18 pm, the University of the Algarve exhibition “30 years of creating the future” is inaugurated.
On the 21st and 22nd, as part of the FOMe – Festival of Objects and Puppets and other Foods” program, there will be theater. On the 21st, at 18 pm, the information session “Na Europa estás Safe” will take place on volunteering and mobility, organized by Europdirect – Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission.
The stage at Jardim do Coreto hosts, on the 20th, at 18 pm, the performance of the Real Tuna Infantina from the University of Algarve. At 00 pm, it's the turn of the group Rush do Lavagante and, at 19:00 pm, DJ Di Angello. The Infante group acts at 20:30.
On the 21st, starting at 15:30 pm, the Muzenza Group will make a demonstration of capoeira. At 16:15 pm, the band Last Heaven performs, and at 17:30 pm, the y Daiser, Ferp, Arganaça, Dant and Alvini will be chatting with the younger ones.
The afternoon ends with the Beatrice's Music concert (19:30 pm) and contemporary dance (21:15 pm).
At 23:30 pm, the stage at Jardim do Coreto receives DJ Karussa and artist Possessivo. The image projection, on this stage, is the responsibility of VJ Draft.
On the 22nd, the entertainment continues with the Rancho Folclórico de Tavira (16:15 pm), contemporary dance at the Tavira Music Academy (17:15 pm), hip hop at the Algarve Dance Academy (18:30 pm), and the styles of Companhia de Dança Golden Age (19:00) and the Splash Dance Company (20:00).
