VRSA invests 5 thousand euros in the second edition of the Youth Participatory Budget

The proposal submission phase runs until May 13th

The Municipality of Vila Real de Santo António (VRSA) is promoting the second edition of the Youth Participatory Budget (OPJ), an initiative aimed at involving the municipality's young people in defining municipal investment priorities and which this year has a budget of 5 thousand euros.

The proposal submission phase runs until May 13th, with young people aged between 14 and 35 years old, who are residents, workers and/or students in the municipality, being able to participate; or groups or associations that present the National Register of Youth Associations with headquarters in the municipality.

The winning proposal of OPJ 2023 was the immersive dance show «Mind Meets Body», presented last weekend, at the Centro Cultural António Aleixo.

The Vila Real de Santo António City Council, through the Youth Center, invites all interested parties to actively participate in this democratic process, contributing to the construction of a more inclusive and dynamic community.

The participation form (and other information) is available on the Chamber's website and can be sent to the email [email protected] or delivered in person to the Youth Office, located in the former António Aleixo Primary School (next to the farol), or in the parish councils of the municipality.
