Slow J, Kura, Quatro e Meia, Pappilon and ProfJam are some of theThe names that go to the 37th Algarve Academic Week which takes place from the 26th of April to the 4th of May, at the Penha Sports Complex, in Faro.
The official poster for the great celebration of Algarve students was released this Thursday, April 5th, by the Academic Association of the University of Algarve (AAUAlg), at a festival.
As usual, the Academic Week begins with the traditional Monumental Opening Serenade, on Thursday, April 25th, a public holiday, in the heart of Largo da Sé.
The first day of Wonderland, on Friday, 26th, will feature performances by “Os Marafados”, Hybrid Theory (Linkin Park tribute band) and Algarve DJ Danni Gato.
On Saturday, 27th, the day of blessing of folders for the finalists, the Algarve Academic Week will welcome Marta Lima, “Os Quatro e Meia”, which had already been announced previously, and Delight and Landu Bi.
Sunday, the 28th, the party will be hosted by Miguel Azevedo and DJ Mr Kool, repeat performers in “País das Maravilhas”.
On Monday, the 29th, popular music will return with Algarve singer Ruben Filipe and “Baile da Ciumenta”.
This year, one of the new features is that Tuesday, the 30th, will be one of the strongest days on the line-up, as it is the day before the May 1st holiday. The rapper Papillon, Zanova and… Slow J will take to the stage at Semana Académica, who recently sold out two dates at the Altice Arena and whose latest album (Afro Fado) has hits such as “Tata”, “Origami” and “Ultimamente”.
On May 1st, the artists will be Uzzy and ProfJam, also strong names.
As usual, Thursday (2th) is tunas day.
For the penultimate day of Academic Week (5), Friday, the Academic Association chose Gabi Saiury, Julinho KSD and Breyth.
The Algarve students' party ends on Saturday, the 4th, with Diogo Ribeiro, Xtinto, Plutonio, De Dadda and one of the strongest names of this edition: DJ Kura, who has already performed at festivals such as Tomorrowland.
