Tavira Food Gardens Regulations in public consultation until May 27th

This initiative is one of the 11 pilot actions of the PHOENIX Project

The Tavira Food Gardens Regulation, a proposal that was one of the winners of the 2021 Participatory Budget, is under public consultation until May 27th.

According to the municipality, following the results of the Participatory Budget, the first urban spaces were selected, in which it will be possible to carry out the project, and citizens' collaboration was promoted in the elaboration of the gardens' operating rules, through the collection of contributions, in meetings held in each of the municipality’s six parishes.

After these sessions, a co-creation committee was set up, made up of citizens, technicians and political decision-makers from the Municipality of Tavira, who during several sessions outlined and prepared the rules that now make up the municipal regulations for food gardens.

The result of this work is currently under public consultation, and contributions can be sent, until the 27th of May, through the platform created for this purpose, on here, or by email to [email protected]

This initiative is one of the 11 pilot actions of the PHOENIX Project, funded by the European Union.
