PSD/Algarve says that Montenegro started «on the right foot»

According to Cristóvão Norte, president of the PSD/Algarve and who was present at the inauguration, «it is crucial that no more precious time is wasted on the water dossier»

The PSD/Algarve considers that the Government, which took office yesterday, April 2nd, started «on the right foot», since Luís Montenegro dedicated «an important part of his speech to the topic of water».

In a press release, the Social Democrats consider that the new Prime Minister assumed, «clearly, that this central issue for the Algarve constitutes one of the Government's priority areas of action».

According to Cristóvão Norte, president of the PSD/Algarve and who was present at the inauguration, «it is crucial that no more precious time is wasted on the water dossier».

«Hearing the Prime Minister highlight the matter and personally commit to his word gives us total confidence that solutions will advance. On the other hand, Minister Maria da Graça Carvalho, holder of the Environment portfolio, knows the topic well and this will allow us to move forward without hesitation. It is very important that this is the case. There is a lot to do,” she says.

Finally, the PSD/Algarve also wishes to express its confidence in Miguel Pinto Luz, Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, recently head of the list of the Democratic Alliance for the Algarve, as the Social Democrats «place well-founded hopes in areas that are also decisive for regional development”.
