Folha de Medronho programming passes through Loulé and São Tomé and Príncipe

In April

Folha de Medronho's schedule of activities for April will pass through Loulé and São Tomé and Príncipe.  

From the 1st to the 30th of April, recordings will take place for the Documentary of the “Artistic Residency EntreMares'24”, in which records will be collected from the city and the Sal-Gema Mines.

The documentary was authored by Tomás Barão da Cunha and Miguel Canaverde. In May, this documentary will be screened as part of the Festival Tanto Mar 2024.

On April 13th, at 17pm, there will be a theater/puppet show with live music. “Polva Maria Pólvora”, written by Sara Vicente and Patrícia Chambino, has original music by Tiago Baptista.

From the 2nd to the 8th of April there will be a training workshop “Do Palco ao Texto_Do Texto ao Palco”, at the Instituto Camões_Centro Cultural Português, in São Tomé and Príncipe, with RaízArte and Folha de Medronho-performative arts, under the guidance of João de Mello Alvim and support from Dério Quinto (artist from São Tomé).

From the 1st to the 13th of April, in the same location, there will be artistic guidance for the contemporary dance show “A Ilha dos sem terra”, by João de Mello Alvim.

This is a partnership between Folha de Medronho and RaízArte, and with the support of Instituto Camões. This show is part of the program of the Festival Tanto Mar, in May 2024.
