Water Half Marathon Faro is back

The event is organized by FAGAR and also has the collaboration of the Algarve Athletics Association

The 8th Água de Água Half Marathon Faro takes place this Saturday, April 13th, starting at 16pm, at Praia de Faro.

The 21-kilometer route was designed so that one could appreciate the unique landscapes of the municipality, as the race takes place next to the Ria Formosa, passing through the University of Algarve Center, in Gambelas, Municipal Theater, Cidade Velha, Igreja da Sé, Largo de São Francisco, São Luís Stadium, Court, Rua de Santo António and Jardim Manuel Bivar.

There are also shorter routes, for those who opt for a mini marathon (10 kilometers) or a walk (11 kilometers).

In addition to the usual transport features to Praia de Faro and cloakroom, the organization will provide meals, changing rooms and relaxation massages, close to the finish line, in Jardim Manuel Bivar.

A space will be created in this finish area with a giant screen, through which everyone following the race will be able to follow what will happen ahead of the race.

Environmental care will be taken throughout the action, with water in recyclable paper cups and there will be awareness raising among all participants.

The event is organized by FAGAR and also has the collaboration of the Algarve Athletics Association.
