Lagos receives 660 athletes for the European Speed ​​Skating Cup

Lagos will host, from tomorrow until April 7th, the second stage of the European Speed ​​Skating Cup.

The competition will bring together 660 skaters, from 27 countries, representing close to two hundred clubs in the 19th edition of the Terras do Infante International Tournament.

The first two days will feature races with the Júlio Dantas Secondary School track as the stage, and on the third and final day, only in the morning, Avenida dos Descobrimentos (100m and Marathon – 42Km) and the city's roads will be the venue. passage of more than six and a half hundred skaters from four continents.

In a note, the municipality of Lagos warns that carrying out the test will impose restrictions on traffic in the city that Sunday.

The biggest highlights go to the 100 meter world champions, Vicenzo Mallorca (ITA), current 2023 World Champion, and Jhoan Guzman (ESP), three-time World Champion in 2022 (100m, 200m and back).

The winners of the last editions will also be present: Marco Lira (PT), in 2023, and Patxi Peula (ESP), in 2022 and in four other editions (skater with the most victories).

In women, Kelly Delgado (COL), winner in 2023 and 2022, and Aura Quintana (COL), already with two victories.

The winners will receive one thousand euros each, for a total of more than six thousand euros to be distributed across the various competitions (Tournament, 100m and Marathon).
