Lagos opens applications for anyone who wants to be a monitor for “Viver o Verão”

From April 22nd

The Municipality of Lagos will, on April 22nd, open applications for young people who want to be monitors in the “Viver o Verão” program.

The “Viver o Verão” program consists of an offer of recreational-pedagogical activities, promoted from the 8th of July to the 30th of August, and is aimed at children and young people who, depending on their age group, will have a differentiated participation, with the older children to act as monitors or assistant monitors for children.

Started last year, “Viver o Verão + IN” also reaches children between 7 and 16 years old with specific needs who attend school groups in Lagos.

This year, the activity will be reissued in an expanded version, so that it will be possible to cover a total of 20 participants in playful-therapeutic activities.

To support them as monitors, the municipality intends to count on the collaboration of higher education students in the health area who sign up and «help make Viver o Verão a more inclusive program».

Although falling within the scope of Family Support Services (SAF) for Pre-School Education, the municipality will also operate, between the 1st and 31st of August, “Viver o Verão Pré”, an aspect that aims to respond to children who attend the SAF in the municipality's public network and whose family members are working during the month of August.

Registration for “Viver o Verão” can be made here

Regarding “Viver o Verão Pré” registrations will be made (from April 29th to May 12th) by application ornline through the SIGA Platform or at the secretariats of the respective groups.

Registration for “Viver o Verão + IN” must be formalized following prior coordination between school groups and the municipality.
