A 47-year-old man was arrested last Friday, April 12, «due to strong evidence of the crime of rape», which killed a 71-year-old foreign citizen, in a massage center, in the municipality of Loulé.
The victim filed a complaint, and the Judiciary Police found that the episode had occurred following a massage session.
«Following the investigation, conducted by the Southern Directorate of the PJ, it was possible to collect relevant evidence, determining the arrest of the presumed perpetrator, out of the act of committing a crime», say the authorities.
After being present for judicial interrogation, coercive measures of weekly presentations at a police station and prohibition of contacts with the victim and witnesses were applied to the detainee.
