Farense loses to Benfica, which remains seven points behind leader Sporting

Farense lost today against Benfica, 3-1, in the 30th round of the Portuguese Football League. The red team thus remains seven points behind leader Sporting, with 12 still up for grabs.

The Turkish Kökçü gave the 'reds' the advantage, in the 16th minute, the Algerian Belloumi equalized for the Algarve, seven minutes later, but the Brazilian Arthur Cabral, in the 34th minute, with a backheel, and the Spanish Álvaro Carreras, in the 67th, sealed the second triumph followed by the national champions.

With this victory, Benfica has 73 points, remaining in second place, seven behind Sporting, while Farense remains in 10th place, with the same 31 points as Rio Ave and Gil Vicente, 11th and 12th. classified, respectively.
