Teachers ask for extension of the deadline for competitions due to platform failures

The deadline for applications ends on Tuesday at the end of the day

The National Education Federation (FNE) today asked the Government to extend the deadline for competitions for educators and teachers in primary and secondary education, alleging that the platform has presented flaws when applying.

FNE sent a letter to the Ministry of Education today warning of “several technical problems faced by teachers” since Sunday afternoon.

«There are several messages that reveal the flaws of the platform, generating anxiety and insecurity among teachers», states the federation in a statement sent to newsrooms.

In the letter, FNE gives examples of messages such as “This page is not working”, “An error occurred in the application”, “Application error” or “Software caused connection abort”.

The deadline for applications ends on Tuesday at the end of the day and FNE emphasizes that this is a process that requires precise information, with a «high number of teachers» asking for help from FNE member unions.

FNE therefore suggests «the activation of exceptional mechanisms to extend the deadline for competitions, ensuring that all teachers have enough time to complete their applications consistently».
