The unemployment rate was 6,7% in February, 0,2 percentage points less year-on-year, but 0,1 percentage points above January, according to provisional data released today by the National Statistics Institute (INE).
«The unemployment rate stood at 6,7%, 0,1 percentage points higher than the previous month and three months before, but 0,2 percentage points lower than the same month in 2023», he adds INE in the February “Monthly Employment and Unemployment Estimates”.
That month, there were 359.400 unemployed people, 2,1% more than in January and 3,2% in relation to three months before and 1,1% lower than in January 2023.
