Friends of the Portimão Museum talk about memories of the 25th of April in the city

This initiative is part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April

The gathering “We were in Portimão on the 25th of April”, promoted by the Group of Friends of the Portimão Museum (GAMP), will take place on the 13th of April, at 17 pm, in the Portimão Museum Auditorium.

The objective is «to give voice to a group of citizens who experienced, personally and directly in Portimão, this historic transition from dictatorship to freedom and democratic rule», says GAMP.

With the moderation of the journalist Elisabete Rodrigues, colonels José Glória Alves and Carlos Branco, professors Madalena Garcias and Regina Serrano, José Gameiro, scientific director of the Portimão Museum, and Carlos Romão Reis, vice-president of the GAMP Board, will recall relevant aspects of the events that occurred and began from the 24th and 25th of April, thus sharing their personal testimonies and life memories, about this very special date in Portimão, in the Algarve region and in our country.

This initiative is part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April.
