AMAL promotes Controlled Fire action in Monchique

Action was promoted on a plot with Eucalyptus population

AMAL's Intermunicipal Forestry Technical Office promoted, last Friday, April 12th, a new Controlled Fire action in Monchique, on a plot with Eucalyptus population.

The training action was part of the Controlled Fire Support Course, promoted by Loulé City Council and aimed at its Municipal Forestry Intervention Teams (EMIF) and Forest Sappers.

Several technicians with accreditation in Controlled Fire participated in this competition, obtained, in most cases, through the training course promoted by the Intermunicipal Forestry Technical Office, in 2021/2022.

The initiative also included the collaboration of the Monchique Firefighters, the Forestry Sappers of the Portimão Chamber, the Forestry Sappers of the Silves Chamber and the UEPS – GNR Emergency Protection and Relief Unit.
