788 infractions detected on the road last week in the Algarve

Between the 8th and 14th of April, 149 accidents were recorded

788 infractions detected on the road, 47 arrested and more than 200 doses of drugs seized: this is the balance of operations to prevent and combat violent crime, road inspection, among others, carried out by the GNR, last week, in the Algarve.

Of the more than 700 infractions, the GNR highlights 188 for speeding, 67 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 41 related to anomalies in lighting and signaling systems, 37 for lack of or incorrect use of seat belts and/or restraint systems. for children, 22 for improper use of a cell phone while driving and 16 for lack of civil liability insurance.

Between the 8th and 14th of April, 47 people were also arrested – 12 for driving without a legal license, 11 for driving under the influence of alcohol and six for drug trafficking – and apprehended 200 doses of hashish, 36 doses of cocaine, 71 cartridges, 41 ammunition, five shotguns, three reproduction firearms for recreational purposes, two freely acquired compressed air guns and a saber.

The GNR also recorded 149 accidents, which resulted inthree seriously injured and 32 slightly injured.
