Start Work VI returns to Portimão Arena

The sixth edition of Start Work – Education, Professional Training, Entrepreneurship and Employment Exhibition will take place from the 14th to the 16th of March, at the Portimão Arena. 

This project, launched by the Municipality of Portimão in 2016 and interrupted for some time due to the pandemic, aims to promote and publicize job offers and professional internships, programs and measures to support investment, vocational training, regular and vocational secondary education and higher education .

From the moment of opening, scheduled for 10 am on March 00th, there will be three days filled with promotional initiatives for courses taught by the represented educational institutions, as well as workshops, thematic demonstrations and short-term information sessions, under the responsibility of the companies. gifts.

The presentation program for the training offers and the planned lectures will cover topics such as job search techniques, European careers and internships, professional opportunities in the field of sport, multicultural work from the perspective of diversity and inclusion, how to combat anxiety before, during and after exams, what is the role of parents in the decision-making process, or the paths to access higher education, among other topics of interest.

On its return this year, Start Work continues to focus on representing a wide range of public and private educational institutions, polytechnics and universities in the region, with around four dozen exhibitors confirmed, including the five Grouping of Schools of municipality of Portimão, the University of Algarve, the School of Hotel Management and Tourism of Portimão, the Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes, the Portimão Fire Department and the Municipal Civil Protection Service, the DUAL Center – Professional Qualification, CASLAS – Rehabilitation Unit Professional, the Escola Profissional Gil Eanes de Portimão, the CLCC – Center for Languages, Culture and Communication, the Piaget Institute of Silves, the Navy, the Army, the GNR and the PSP, as well as dozens of companies from various sectors.

Start Work VI has free entry and will take place on the first two days between 10:00 am and 18:00 pm and on March 16th between 11:00 am and 17:00 pm, with an entertainment program that includes lots of music, rhythmic gymnastics, dance, face painting, modeling balloons and other attractions.
