Six of BE's best results were in municipalities in Alentejo and Algarve

Higher percentage was achieved in Sines

The Bloco de Esquerda (BE) achieved six of its best results in municipalities in Alentejo and Algarve, including Alvito, in the district of Beja, where the bloc leader, Mariana Mortágua, is from.

According to data from the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Internal Administration, the municipality in which BE recorded the best result was in Sines (district of Setúbal), in Alentejo Litoral: 7,92% (589 votes).

Next, in the district of Faro, the municipalities of Aljezur, Vila do Bispo and Lagos, with 7,67% (201 votes), 7,63% (191 votes) and 6,84% (1.002 votes), respectively.

Among the 10 municipalities with the best results, Alvito stands out, with 6,81% (84 votes), and Castro Verde, also in the Beja district, with 6,67% (268 votes).

In the municipality of Torres Novas (Santarém), BE won 6,55% (1.375 votes), in Lousã (Coimbra) 6,54% (656 votes) and in Moita (Setúbal) 6,54% (2.440 votes) .

In 10th place comes the municipality of Condeixa-a-Nova (Coimbra), with 6,51% (662 votes).

The Democratic Alliance (AD), which brings together PSD, CDS and PPM, with 29,49%, won 79 deputies in the Assembly of the Republic, in Sunday's legislative elections, against 77 for the PS (28,66%), followed by It arrives with 48 elected deputies (18,06%).

IL, with eight seats, BE, with five, and PAN, with one, maintained the number of deputies. Livre went from one to four elected representatives while the CDU lost two seats and was left with four deputies. There are still four mandates to be allocated from the emigration circle.
