Lifeguard rescues man who fell on Tavira Island

Accident occurred near a restaurant

A 57-year-old man, of Brazilian nationality, who suffered a fall, which caused a cervical injury, near a restaurant on the Island of Tavira, was rescued by the crew at the Tavira Lifeguard Station last night, 26 of March.

The alert was given at 21:03 pm, through the Lisbon Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC Lisboa), with elements from the Port Authority and the Tavira Maritime Police Local Command, the Lifeguard, sent to the scene. of Tavira, as well as the Municipal Firefighters of Tavira.

The victim was rescued by the lifeguard and transported to Quatro Águas, where he was assisted by the Municipal Firefighters of Tavira, who transported him to the hospital.
