In this way, both residents and tourists can obtain information about the festivities of Holy Week, namely the palm processions, the times of the Eucharists on Maundy Thursday, the celebration of the Passion and Death of Jesus, on Good Friday and the Easter vigil, as well as the various masses on Easter Day.
Furthermore, it is at this time that festivities very characteristic of the region take place, namely the Festa das Torchas Floras de S. Brás de Alportel, which takes place on Easter Sunday and the festivities in honor of the Sovereign Mother, in Loulé (the Festa Pequena takes place on Easter Sunday and fifteen days later the Festa Grande takes place).
