Lethes celebrates World Theater Day with “Journey to the center of the earth”

The show will air on March 27th

The Lethes Theater in Faro will celebrate World Theater Day, on March 27th, with the show “Journey to the center of the earth”, by Mákina de Cena.

The show will have two sessions, at 10:30 am and 14:30 pm, and will be performed by Ana Beatriz Lopes, André Canário and Mariana Vitorino, directed by Carolina Santos.

«Otto Lidenbrock, an eccentric and authoritarian professor of mineralogy, discovers an ancient manuscript, written in runic. Axel, his devoted nephew, manages to decipher the message and finds himself drawn into the greatest adventure of his life. Little do they know that this discovery will take them to Iceland where, through the crater of a volcano, they will be able to descend to the center of the earth! Inspired by Jules Verne's classic, three adults play with objects, unfolding themselves into characters and scenarios, like someone immersed in the story of a book, to the point of not being able to distinguish between manipulated and manipulative. A fun show for all ages», reads the show’s description.

Tickets cost 10 euros, but over 65s and under 30s pay 7,50 euros.

Schools/ATL must make a reservation for groups of more than 10 students and pay 5 euros.

The show lasts for 60 minutes.

The ticket office is open from Tuesday to Friday, between 14pm and 00pm.
