Infralobo and the Vale do Lobo project reforested yesterday, March 21st, an area that burned in the great fire of 2022, in the Trafal area.

«In this area, which was severely affected by the fires, 185 trees were planted on a plot of land measuring 8000 square meters. This action symbolizes not only the renewal and hope for the recovery of local ecosystems, but also highlights the ongoing effort of the community and organizations involved in environmental preservation and sustainability. The planted species include 50 Ash trees, 45 Carob trees, 45 Pine trees and 45 Cork trees, carefully chosen to contribute to the biodiversity and ecological resilience of the region», according to Infralobo.

The event featured «the special participation of students from the Association for the Intervention and Rehabilitation of Disabled and Disadvantaged Populations (Existir), reinforcing the community spirit and teaching the importance of environmental responsibility», seeking, at the same time, to assume «a collective commitment towards the protection of our planet, emphasizing the vital importance of trees and forests in maintaining ecological balance».

Also present at the initiative were administrators from Infralobo and Vale do Lobo, the president and councilors of Loulé City Council, representatives from the Parish Councils of Quarteira and Almancil and the administration of Infraquinta.
