Escola Básica Ria Formosa organizes garbage cleaning in Parque Ribeirinho de Faro

«The Future is in our hands and the Sea is our Future!», say the 4th year students

The Ria Formosa Basic School, in Faro, and the educational community will come together on Saturday, March 16, in an initiative to clean the Ria Formosa, in Parque Ribeirinho de Faro.

Along a three-kilometer route, the initiative will begin at 10 am, with everyone invited to collect waste from the area and thus «contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment», highlights the school.

This event was created within the scope of the “Pequenos Exploradores, Owls RF-B4” project of Curricular Enrichment Activities and will be held in partnership with APA (Portuguese Environment Agency) and the GEA Project (a voluntary movement that develops trash).

This awareness-raising action seeks to promote environmental awareness, because «all the trash we collect does not end up in the sea and, in this way, we will protect the ocean», recall the 4th grade students. year at the Ria Formosa School.
