World Theater Day marked in Castro Marim with musical comedy

World Theater Day will be celebrated on March 27th, at 21pm, in Castro Marim, with the musical comedy “Velhos São Os Trapos” which takes to the stage in the Municipal Library auditorium.

This play is staged and produced by the Atrapalharte theater company, with original text by Saulo de Vasconcelos, and will portray the problems of old age such as social exclusion and its consequences.

The show tells the story of three elderly friends who spend most of their time in a Day Center, supervised by nurse Severa, who keeps them constantly active.

However, in the absence of the nurse, these seniors challenge their abilities and limitations. When she is present, two of them decide to fight for their love, discovering that the nurse has a partner and creating plans to murder him.

This musical comedy has a soundtrack with a live performance by Pedro Ferreira, from Anaquim, with interpretation by Diogo Carvalho, Paulo Ribeiro and a special appearance by singer Micaela.
