Flight from Tenerife to Birmingham lands in emergency Faro

There were 220 passengers on board

A Jet 2 flight, which had departed from Tenerife and was destined for Birmingham (United Kingdom), had to make an emergency landing on the afternoon of this Thursday, 22nd February, at Lisbon Airport. Faro. 

Airport Source Faro told the Sul Informação that there was a "smoke perception" on board which led to the aircraft having to land in Faro.

The landing took place at around 16:40 pm “in complete safety”, with “no injuries or incidents recorded”.

There were 220 passengers on board, in an Airbus A231-251NX.

the airport of Faro had to activate the red alert, which has since been deactivated.
