Players interacted with students

The players from the under-16 women's football team, who are currently undergoing internship at the Vila Real de Santo António Sports Complex, were at the Escola Básica Manuel Cabanas, in Vila Nova de Cacela, where they interacted with the students.

The initiative was part of the project «A Hora dos SuperQuinas», an initiative that is being implemented in VRSA schools and which «aims to promote the adoption of healthy and active lifestyles and improve motor literacy among children, providing sporting experiences fun, but based on the ethical values of sport», according to the VRSA Chamber.

The measure, supported by the Portuguese Football Federation and the Ministry of Education, «represents a collaboration between schools, local authorities and families to promote physical and mental well-being through sports».

During the event, which was also attended by Álvaro Araújo, president of the Vila Real Chamber, the children had the opportunity to interact with the players from the Under-16 Women's National Team, who are on internship in Vila Real de Santo António, as part of the Under-16 Women's Football Team Preparation Tournament, which runs until February 6th, at the Albufeira Municipal Stadium, and pits Portugal, Germany, Brazil and the Netherlands face to face».

Currently, two classes are integrated into this project, one at EB1 Manuel Cabanas and the other at EB de Monte Gordo, belonging to the VRSA School Group and the D. Jose I School Group, respectively.
