The Municipality of São Brás de Alportel approved continuing the program to support the adoption of abandoned animals “Vale+ Animal”, in 2024.
The program, which was created in 2021, consists of providing incentives for the adoption of animals, especially dogs, in a partnership between the municipality and the Associação Coração 100 Dono.
Anyone who adopts an animal receives a support kit worth 30 euros, which can be used in several local commercial establishments to purchase healthcare or food.
Completing the adoption allows you to obtain free of charge from the Municipal Veterinary Office the completion of the health report, the application of an identification microchip, internal deworming, anti-rabies vaccination and sterilization of the animal.
Since 2021, dozens of vouchers + animals have been delivered to São Brasense families who rescued a “four-legged friend”.
