PS files complaint against vandalization of billboards in the Algarve

On billboards, which are for example at the entrance of Faro, Loulé and Olhão, the name of Pedro Nuno Santos was replaced by “Pedro Xulo Santos”

The Socialist Party (PS) presented this Wednesday, February 14th, at the Attorney General's Office, a criminal report against unknown people regarding the destruction of billboards throughout the Algarve. 

On billboards, which are for example at the entrance of Faro, Loulé and Olhão, the name of Pedro Nuno Santos was replaced by “Pedro Xulo Santos”.

Furthermore, the phrase “Pay my IMI” was added to the slogan “Portugal Entire”.

In a press release, the PS/Algarve says that the «vandalization of the regional panel network» went through «the entire Algarve» and there is «evidence and examples of destroyed and tampered with campaign posters promoting insults and inciting verbal violence».

The PS/Algarve says that «it condemns the total lack of democratic spirit of the authors of this crime against political freedom and expression and reaffirms its commitment to the values ​​of April for which, today as 50 years ago, it is determined to fight, in defense of the constitution of the republic and the European project and against obscurantism, isolationism and democratic regression».
